For preschoolers, we’re focused on learning outcomes and kindergarten readiness. Digital learning portfolios document your child’s learning in the classroom, as well as test results.

No surprise that most of our Early Education and School-Age Enrichment programs have earned “Step Up to Quality” recognition from the State of Ohio. All YMCA Early Childhood locations are Gold Rated centers.

This voluntary system verifies that, at minimum, our Y centers:

  • Provide your child with quality staff and teachers who complete 20 hours of specialized training each year
  • Offer teachers who fully understand Ohio’s early learning and development standards
  • Build strong relationships with families
  • Demonstrate their commitment to making the program even better every day
