Swim Team
Becoming a member of the YMCA Swim Team means fun, fitness and teamwork. The YMCA swim team is a developmental swim program run by trained coaches to improve swimmers’ competitive skills and endurance through progression rather than intense competition. The YMCA swim team promotes healthy lifestyles while embracing the four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
Our trained coaches work to improve swimmers’ skill level, endurance and to promote a healthy lifestyle. Our program embraces the YMCA core values and promotes progression at an individual level.
AM-Waverunners Elementary Morning Practice
Any K-12 aged child who can swim one length of the pool (25 yards), unassisted in deep water.
The season runs from May 28 – July 27. There will be a modified practice schedule from May 28 – 31 while APS is still in school. During that time all sessions will be at staggered practice times in the afternoon (more details to follow). The normal practice schedule (listed below) begins on June 3.

Returning and ages 7 & older 11:15 a.m.-12:30 pm
Beginners and ages 6 & under 11:15 a.m.-12:15 pm
$155 for Y members, City of Adrian Residents, and APS Students

The season runs from May 28 – July 27. There will be a modified practice schedule from May 28-May 31 while APS is still in school.
