Our Active Older Adult (AOA) programs are designed for men and women in their 50’s and older. Each YMCA of Greater Toledo branch offers different programming, promoting fitness and well-being while fostering friendships and camaraderie. Check the branch nearest you for current information. Wolcott House Museum Tour
Step back in time with a guided visit to the Wolcott House Museum Complex and experience a glimpse of life in Northwest Ohio’s past. Our group will spend approximately 45 minutes touring the historic Wolcott House, where a knowledgeable guide will share stories about the Wolcott family, 1800s life, and the special exhibit of fashion through the years.
After the main tour, we’ll take about 10 minutes to explore the other buildings on the grounds, including the Log House, Farmhouse, Depot, Church, and Schoolhouse, for a brief look at the rest of this historic village.
Accessibility Notes:
There are 15 steps at the front entrance of the Wolcott House.
If you have difficulty with the front steps, please let us know—staff can guide guests through the back entrance, which includes going through a room and additional steps inside the house.
The building is not wheelchair accessible.
Enjoy this engaging outing, combining local history, historic buildings, and a unique fashion exhibit!
